Clean your makeup brushes regularly

Another one that most of us are guilty about. If you can’t remember the last time you washed your brushes (or bought new ones), you need to read this. If you’re constantly using the same makeup brushes, be sure to wash them after every couple of uses to get rid of the bacteria and makeup that builds up on the bristles. Washing them is simple “ dampen the brushes with warm water and use a baby shampoo or brush cleaner to cleanse. Rinse and repeat until the water runs clean. For a quick fix when you’re on the go, spray a brush cleaner like Sephora Dry Clean Instant Dry Brush Cleaner Spray ($18) on the bristles and rub off on a cloth or paper towel.
