Let everything out

As The Ofï¬ce‘s eternally adorable Jim Halpert once said, It’s the time of year to tell people how you feel about them, and this advice can be taken from Love Actually as well. In Love Actually, it is revealed that Mark (Andrew Lincoln) is in love with his best friend’s wife, Juliet (Keira Knightley). Even though he knows nothing will come of it, he feels the need to tell her how he feels”and does so in the most iconic way ever. He writes a series of messages on signs and shows up at her doorstep. At one point, his signs spell out Just because it’s Christmas”and at Christmas, you tell the truth”to me, you are perfect. It’s something he needed to get off his chest, and used the time of year as motivation. ¨I recently read that suppressing emotions may increase the risk of dying from heart disease and certain forms of cancer. In other words: keeping your feelings bottled up can literally kill you. So, uh, if you’ve got something to get off your chest, get it out of the way and ride that sense of relief until the new year.
