Amanda and Busy from Ready or Not
Ready or Not was like Canada’s version of Felicity, but made before Felicity came to fruition. The show was surrounded around the lives of two youthful ladies, Amanda and Busy, who were complete opposites in many ways. Amanda was the girly girl while Busy was happily a tomboy all about her drum kit. The two had an unbreakable bond and were always by each other’s sides, helping make sense of whatever rolled through. Their families weren’t perfect and that made for a constant balancing act between home and school antics, but regardless if it was teenage initiations like 7 minutes in heaven, interracial dating, or period problems (remember when Busy’s dad had to get her supplies?), these two females waded through teenage terrain with ultimate sincerity and awkwardness, which was refreshing to watch. Who didn’t have photo booth photos of their BFFs? It was a rite of passage.
