Meryl Streep was a gd queen
Though she didn’t get a win for her role in Florence Foster Jenkins, the legendary actress was the recipient of the Cecil B. DeMille Award and used her time on stage to make us all cry and empower those watching. Of course after she tastefully slammed Trump, he (unsurprisingly) took to Twitter to call her the most “underrated actress in Hollywood,” to which we all scoffed at that remark.

Her speech also included a beautiful tribute to Streep’s late friend Carrie Fisher by quoting her with “take your broken heart, make it into art,” and by then we were all sobbing (still sobbing).
