Hannah and Her Sisters

The 1986 film from Woody Allen sees Mia Farrow in the spotlight. Her character, Hannah, is learning that her own husband is attracted and having an affair with her sister Lee (played by Barbara Hershey). The older sister, Holly (played by Dianne West) is her own strong-willed woman too, and it’s the dynamic and witty exchanges between the three sisters that keeps you watching, sometimes gasping, but nonetheless glued to their lives. Farrow’s own mother plays her mother in the film, too, which adds some authenticity to the happenings. If you’re someone who appreciates critics and ratings, keep in mind Rotten Tomatoes gave the film a score of 93 per cent and Roger Ebert gave it a 4 out of 4. Just sayin’.
