When news broke that Sarah Michelle Gellar would be back on a primetime drama, one that was seeing two of her, Buffy fans were in bliss. Produced by Nicole Snyder (one of the folks behind the CW hit Supernatural), Ringer had convoluted plot lines with continuous twists and mind tricks and for some people that was just too much to follow. There were also comparisons to Revenge, which could have dampened the appeal. SMG was so good in her role(s) that’s it’s a real shame we didn’t get to see more of the good vs. evil, a.k.a. Bridget versus Siobhan drama. It could also be argued that Gellar has been typecast as Buffy Summers forever.
