Before The Bachelor made its mark, there were a number of reality-dating shows and Temptation Island was one you should not forget. It was scandalous. Couples going to a remote island to test their love with (and often without) the other during the overnight? You witnessed enough craziness on each 60-minute episode to fulfill your weekly what am I doing with my life? intake. Was it too hot for TV? Maybe, but with what we’ve seen in recent years (cough¦ Dating Naked) perhaps it’s time for a revival. Watching couples cry, cheat and lie is just so guiltily entertaining. Then again there can only be one Chris Harrison and Temptation Island host, Mark L. Walberg, is a carbon copy of Harrison so… maybe that played a factor in the battle of the primetime host bros.
Also, don’t forget about Paradise Hotel, another classic gone too soon.
