The O.C.
Before reality TV hit us hard, there were shows like The O.C., a modernized Beverly Hills 90210. Sure there were cliché©s and over-the-top acting moments, but the spark between Seth and Summer, the turmoil between Marissa and Ryan, the quirk of the Cohen family, the teenage learnings Luke endured, the California lifestyle, the conniving Oliver types”it was a show that had many layers. We learned a lot about friendships and navigating the high school terrain. We listened to Rooney and had our very own Princess Sparkle. This was a show that showed how privileged rich kids live, but also how crappy being a teenager can be, regardless if you have lot of money and influence, or not.
