I lived in Toronto for an entire year without weather-appropriate footwear. And it sucked. So the following year I headed to Honest Eds (RIP) to pick up a pair of cheap and pretty ugly rain boots. They were in my budget and the did the job. But, with age (I am under 30) comes wisdom (I have trouble with long division) and I discovered pretty quickly that utilitarian\u00a0gear that has you prepped for all sorts of weather can be stylish. In fact, it should be. So, for your shopping (and weather-prepped) pleasure, here are some of my favourite rainy day fashion finds of the season.<\/p>\n

Add a little subtle flair with these Chelsea-style boots from Cougar<\/a> ($80).<\/p>\n

Is there anything more classic then a yellow raincoat? Pick up this one from Petit Bandeau<\/a> ($279).<\/p>\n

Yes, you can get designer rain gear. And it is glorious. These Saint Laurent rain boots<\/a> ($563) are amazing.<\/p>\n

Having a good umbrella is a must\u201dso you might as well pick one that is also cute and floral and pink. This floral Fulton<\/a> ($35) is perfect.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

A casual rain jacket is perfect for running errands or grabbing brunch. Try a muted grey version from The Gap<\/a> ($128).<\/p>\n

A classic rain boot is, of course, by Hunter<\/a> ($170)\u201dbut we recommend getting a much more fun colour than basic black. Millennial pink anyone?<\/p>\n

Okay, so it’s not the most practical\u201dbut look! Little cacti<\/a>! ($32)<\/p>\n

If you don’t already have a trench coat\u201dyou need one. It’s a classic look that is timeless\u201dand that won’t change anything soon. This one from J.
