(Thank you, PETA.) And man, do we love that, especially when they\u2019re as transparent as CoverGirl and not hiding behind carefully worded brand statements, the ways ingredients are sourced or confusing labels.<\/p>\n<p><strong>They\u2019re Leaping Bunny Certified<\/strong><br \/>\nAlong with the sassy new tagline, I Am What I Make Up, CoverGirl can now claim the cult status of being the first bigwig global makeup brand to receive the Leaping Bunny seal by Cruelty Free International\u2014the internationally-recognized gold standard for cruelty free designation and separate from PETA, which only requires that companies send them a written agreement to abstain from animal testing. And it\u2019s a BFD. To earn this hard-to-achieve and prestigious standard the company was scrutinized for their internal standards and protocols for suppliers and underwent multiple audits on their ingredients and supply chains.
