And if you\u2019re like me, and one of the flat-haired 40 per cent who don\u2019t, you know you want to be a curly hair girl too, despite knowing that 69 per cent of those textured hair girls opt for the straight edge at least once every three months. Trust me when I say, I\u2019ll happily buy them a flat iron if it means I can borrow a bit of their bounce. Normally, I\u2019m not a fan of sleeping in hair curlers. Too much PTSD from the rock hard, prickly black ones my mom jammed into my scalp with Bobby pins every night when I was growing up. But these pretty, macaron coloured ones are soft, soft, soft and super easy to roll on and up with no painful pins necessary. That was a deal breaker. And then when I saw how JLo full and curly my hair looked when I woke up? Game changer. Curls rock. Everyone knows it. Even Sephora.<\/p>\n

In 2016, the bigwig beauty retailer upped their curly hair game by doubling their shelf space to accommodate curl-specific brands, like DevaCurl, Bumble and Bumble and Amika. The wider selection of styling products, shampoos and conditioners, treatments, tools and more had women (and men) stampeding through their doors, while their rapid-fire succession of sales had Walmart and Target racing to catch up. Please, even I rubbed a little Sebastian Twisted Curl Styling Cream into my hair before I blew it dry and rolled the macarons in.
