Your holiday party calendar is full, which means, it’s time to take to your closet and start to piece together some festive outifts. If you’re anything like me, you’ll tear through your packed wardrobe, yelling “I have nothing to wear!” You do, in fact, have tons of things to wear, but maybe it just takes updating them a little bit to make them more “holiday” appropriate.<\/p>\n

Here are some outfit ideas I pulled together to give you inspiration. Whether your party is casual or formal, try these trendy looks: <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Super Casual Holiday Party<\/h3>\n

\"j<\/p>\n

Having some drinks at a friend’s house or a drop-in at your favourite aunt’s place – these casual encounters don’t require a dress or heels, so opt for a comfy, yet well-put-together outfit. I chose burgundy pants as red tones are synonymous with the holidays and this adorable J.Crew sweater for the ideal casual and cute outfit. The colours are on point, you’re warm, the shoes are comfy and the purse can hold a few gifts. If that isn’t ideal, what is?<\/p>\n

Casual Holiday Party<\/h3>\n

Heading to a house party or after-work soiree? These get-togethers are not quite semi-formal, but still require some effort. So, pull on a pair of your sexiest skinny jeans and a playful lace top for a fun night out. Use metallic accents to give your outfit a festive touch. I love adding punches of colours where you least expect it. Wearing all neutrals like this black blouse and jeans and adding a bright shoe is a great way to update an outfit. Plus, you probably already have all these pieces in your wardrobe already, but you may not have thought about putting them together like this.<\/p>\n

Semi-Formal Holiday Party<\/h3>\n

Dinner with your in-laws, a big corporate holiday party or a festive cocktail party at your place \u201c these are some examples of semi-formal parties and can also be the hardest to find an outfit for. You want to impress, but you’re also cautious to not over or under do it. Prints are a big trend this year and they tend to be more casual and fun than a black gown or silk cocktail dress. I love the baroque look this season and it is so appropriate for the holiday, that’s why I chose this Top Shop Jacquard Skater dress. I used the colours in the print to choose the accessories in golds and burgundies. Cute, appropriate and chic. Can’t go wrong!<\/p>\n

Formal Holiday Party<\/h3>\n

\"black<\/p>\n

New Year’s Eve, a holiday charity ball, or a black-tie event \u201c you definitely have to go all out for these functions. It is easy to splurge on a designer dress, but you could probably get the look of this Marchesa number by just adding a gold belt to a black dress you already own. When it comes to finding a glamorous clutch, I always try searching vintage shops. Even your mother or grandmother’s closet may have some seriously chic bags from the 50s or 70s. I chose a gold and black palette because if do decide to spend the cash on this outfit, you want something you can wear again and again and these colours are ALWAYS in. <\/p>\n
