Let’s face the truth, sometimes being single can suck…but sometimes, yes sometimes, it can also be exactly what you need <\/span>and <\/em>the best time of your life. Here are our five reasons to embrace your singledom<\/a>, be happy on your own, and enjoy every minute of your self-love journey<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

You can get to know you<\/strong><\/p>\n

So often in life we define ourselves by our family name or our job title or the relationship we’re in. Being single gives you time to remove yourself from one of those defining  situations and truly turn the tables inward to learn more about who you are and who you really desire to be in this life.<\/p>\n

You can do whatever you want<\/strong><\/p>\n

You want to learn how to speak Spanish? Go for it. You want to eat an entire tub of ice cream? As you should. You want to stay up and party til 4am? DO IT. The beauty of being single is that you have absolutely no one to answer to but yourself. You are free to do whatever you want, whenever you want, with whomever you want. Not many other times in life you will ever have this luxury. Revel in it while you do.<\/p>\n

You can make money<\/strong><\/p>\n

There isn’t a person out there who will admit they want to sit at home and troll online dating sites feeling generally sad and lonely. Go out and get a second job in the evenings doing something social and fun. Work at a bar, serve coffee, wait tables, whatever sounds fun and pays decent. Not only will you up your chances of meeting new friends, you’ll also be making some extra dough.<\/p>\n

You can explore new facets of who you might want to be<\/strong><\/p>\n

You know that girl at the bar? The one in the really tight, really sexy (but obviously classy) dress? The one you always wished you had the guts to be like? GO BE LIKE HER. Even if you end up hating her life terribly, at least you had the guts to try it once while you weren’t expected to be the person that someone else expects you to be.<\/p>\n

You don’t have to deal with heartbreak<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sure, you might still be recovering from the last one but the best perk of being single, if you ask us, is the fact that you get to keep your heart, fully intact, for only you to enjoy and explore.
