Stars! They're just like us. (If we were also capable of designing a collection of shoes.) Fortunately, even if we're not stars, Cameron Diaz is, and despite her status as a Hollywood A-lister, she's actually designing a collection of shoes people can wear.<\/p>\n

"I don't want girls to aspire to be me," she told WWD. <\/em>"That's not what this brand is about. It's not about wearing a shoe I would wear. I want them to see themselves in this shoe."<\/p>\n

And which shoe is that, exactly? Let's discuss: Diaz has designed the fall 2014 shoe collection for Pour La Victoire. And remember, she's the artistic director of the brand's parent company, PLV Studio, as of last summer — that's why (and how) she aimed to "refine" and "pare down" PLV's footwear and bags (which run for about $200-$500).<\/p>\n

"When I first came to PLV, I saw the potential in it because it was a brand that didn't really have its own identity," she explained. "It was a little bit all over the place. I looked at it as an opportunity to help create that. This is very important to me. I'm not a person who does things halfway."<\/p>\n

But it's not like we're going to see Diaz's name all over the shoes: the actress won't be the face of the company, and the collection won't have her name on them. So when she says she wants women to wear shoes they<\/em> would wear (and not shoes she<\/em> would wear), she's not kidding.<\/p>\n
