Shots fired (maybe): Iggy Azalea had some choice words for Lorde (our resident Queen of Hearts\/The World) because of course she did.<\/p>\n

"Nothing against her," Azalea said to Billboard in regards to Lorde, and her Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame performance. "But I think when you're doing a tribute to someone that's dead, generally it should be the person's peer."<\/p>\n

In case you missed it, Lorde perfomed "No Apologies" at Nirvana's induction. Why? Because why not? As Joy Behar would say, so what? Who cares?<\/p>\n

"Lorde is not Kurt Cobain's peer," she continued. "No matter if she killed the performance or not, I just don't think it's appropriate."<\/p>\n

Okay, and I mean, fair. But as Refinery 29 pointed out, it's a weird thing to go public about not being happy with — especially when Lorde recently defended Iggy Azalea after her album was critically panned. <\/p>\n

But on the flipside, I mean, is an opinion really "starting a beef"? It's not like Iggy said, "Wow and her performance was the worst and I hate Lorde" — she simply mentioned that she thinks a musician's contemporaries should be the ones to pay homage. And even though that opinion isn't right<\/em>, it's not exactly throwing shade. (At least compared to some of the shades thrown of yore.)<\/p>\n
