Case in point: after <a href=\"http:\/\/jezebel.com\/helpful-victorias-secret-reminder-even-models-hate-the-1658845173?utm_campaign=socialflow_jezebel_facebook&amp;utm_source=jezebel_facebook&amp;utm_medium=socialflow\">Jezebel penned an article entitled, &quot;Helpful Victoria&#39;s Secret Reminder: Even Models Hate Themselves&quot;<\/a> (which was about <a href=\"http:\/\/instagram.com\/p\/vYuqlOGlW2\/?utm_source=partner&amp;utm_medium=embed&amp;utm_campaign=video&amp;modal=true\">a piece by Sampaio encouraging women to accept and embrace their diversity<\/a>), the model lashed out. Especialy since Jezebel included this little line (following Sampio&#39;s praise for model Candice Swanepoel&#39;s figure).<\/p>\n<p>&quot;The video is packaged as though it&#39;s supposed to encourage women to accept and love themselves, but it&#39;s really just one model talking about how another model is totally sexy in an unobtainable way,&quot; they accused.<\/p>\n<p>Nope. Sampaio took to Facebook to defend herself.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;Dear Erin from Jezebel,&quot; she wrote. &quot;I don&#39;t hate myself! I was actually taught by my family to respect myself and indeed others! I feel sorry that you were not able to see beyond your own self-serving interest to sensationalize a story, by creating a negative spin on a positive message and making a forgone conclusion about a young &#39;model&#39; you have never met before!&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Damn. But that&#39;s not it:<\/p>\n<p>&quot;I have a lot of young girls that look up to me as a young woman and role model,&quot; she continued. &quot;I have been criticized for being too skinny and judged purely on my looks. I have been vocal because I believe that as women we are all beautiful and no matter what we look like we deserve to respect ourselves and be respected and loved by others.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>The rest of the piece is just as well-worded, to-the-point, and well, on-the-nose (and you can read it <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/SaraSampaioOficial\">here<\/a>). But it&#39;s the last line that I think resonates the most.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;You are a beautiful young woman, please love yourself and don&#39;t judge other women you don&#39;t know,&quot; Sampaio concluded. &quot;As women we need to stand together. We are judged and objectified enough by men. Here is to your feminism.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Shiiiiiit. I mean, hey. She isn&#39;t wrong. And she isn&#39;t being mean. She&#39;s being honest.
