Earlier this week it was announced that Joe Fresh founder Joe Mimran would be stepping down from his duties, leaving some very large shoes to fill. As for what's next for Mimran? It remained a mystery.<\/p>\n

…UNTIL NOW. (Dun, dun, dun.)<\/p>\n

As of this morning, Joe confirmed that he'll be joining "Dragon's Den" on CBC — which explains why he's still the brand ambassador, despite stepping away from day-to-day responsibilities, to become one of the bosses fielding pitches from hopeful entrepreneurs. (And that's pretty great. Especially since Mimran has been behind Canadian labels like Pink Tartan, Club Monaco, and Alfred Sung, so he knows what he's talking about.)<\/p>\n

"I've been starting businesses since I was in university, and this is the perfect opportunity to share that lifelong passion and experience with young entrepreneurs," he said in a statement. "I look forward to working with the other dragons, hearing some great pitches, and hopefully bringing the next great Canadian business idea to life."<\/p>\n

Arguably, the network is also stoked since Joe will draw in a bigger crowd.<\/p>\n

"We're thrilled to welcome Joe Mimran to 'Dragon's Den,'" confirmed Jennifer Dettman, executive director of CBC's unscripted content. "Joe is a giant in fashion retail in this country. As the brains behind Canada's most successful brands, he's a welcome addition to the den."<\/p>\n

Which begs the question: will you watch "Dragon's Den" now? Or have you always been watching and I'm just really out of the loop when it comes to Canadian reality TV?<\/p>\n
