It is the morning after the MTV VMAs and if you haven’t heard that Kanye West is running for president in 2020 or that Miley Cyrus dropped a free album, it is time to get out from under that rock. But, we’re not here to talk about all of that, we’re here tally up our favourite red carpet beauty looks of the night. Read on to see who was #flawless at the VMAs:<\/p>\n

Gigi Hadid<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hello, bronze goddess! Maybelline’s spokeswoman rocked her best glow on the VMAs red carpet to support her best friend, Taylor Swift. The inspiration for her VMA look came from her modern, structured and beautiful mustard yellow dress. So of course, I had to make her look like she just came off a beach, but still glam!” said her makeup artist, Patrick Ta, about the look. We’re obsessed with her nude lip, which was a mix of Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Mattes in Nude Embrace\u009d and Baby Lips Moisturizing Lip Gloss in Taupe with Me\u009d.<\/p>\n

Selena Gomez<\/strong><\/p>\n

We loved Selena’s simple and sophisticated look last night. A perfect fit for her elegant Calvin Klein gown. Cover Girl makeup artist Jake Bailey used a little black eyeliner and Nars Velvet Shadow Stick in Shimmering Peacock all over her lids, Cover Girl’s The Super Sizer Mascara by LashBlast and finished her look with Cover Girl Colorlicious Lipstick in Coffee Crave.<\/p>\n

Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/p>\n

Taylor was total glam rock with a bold cat eye at the VMAs. The heavy black liner accentuated her gorgeous eye shape and colour, giving her a bit of a 60s-inspired look. We love seeing Taylor Swift step away from her typical red lips and winged liner and try something edgier. The outfit was super\u00a0Gwen Stefani though, no?<\/p>\n

Rita Ora<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rita Ora was a stunner in her black feather gown and plunging neckline. She paired the edgy look with a bold smokey eye and nude glossy lips (we are seeing a nude lip theme here!). The smokey eye had a bit of a cat eye finish drawing the edges of her eyes up, giving it an updated shape that we thought was very flattering. Her platinum blond locks slicked back was the perfect complement to the entire look.<\/p>\n

Miley Cyrus<\/strong><\/p>\n

We can’t forget the night’s host, Miley Cyrus whose blue eyeliner and orange lipstick were probably the only thing we liked about her beauty look. Can’t say we were feeling the high pony and dreadlocks, but we’ll forgive you Miley! The orange lip was gorgeous on her and the blue eyeliner in the lower water line is something we’ve been seeing a lot on the runways.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
