[tps_header]When I moved to Vancouver from Toronto a few months ago with one of my best friends, we had three #lifegoals in mind: go skiing on a legit west coast mountain, make some friends other than each other (how do you make friends as an adult<\/a>?) and find our new favourite restos in the city. So, to help in our search for Vancity foodie heaven, we decided to turn to the pros. So, locals, visitors: here are the best culinary tours in Van.[\/tps_header]<\/p>\n

Off The Eaten Track<\/a> (Railtown Urban Eats Culinary Tour)<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Off<\/a><\/p>\n

Off The Eaten Track takes foodies on tours into neighbourhoods that aren’t as touristy, such as Railtown, in Vancouver’s east end. We indulged on the grilled cheese and tomato soup at the HAVE Caf\u00e9\u00a9 (a culinary school that provides training and job opportunities to individuals who experience barriers to employment) and the shaker salad and brie-filled meatball (voted best meatball in Vancouver!) at the Uncommon Caf\u00e9\u00a9. We also sampled beer and wine at Postmark Brewing (try the golden, citrus IPA) and a chicken salad and focaccia (THAT FOCACCIA THOUGH!) at Railtown Caf\u00e9\u00a9. We ended on something sweet (apple spice cake) at Cadeaux Bakery. Excuse me, as I go enter a food coma.<\/p>\n

Vancouver Brewery Tours<\/strong> <\/a><\/p>\n

\"Vancouver<\/a><\/p>\n

Vancouver Brewery Tours has fifteen brewery partners to choose from, when they drive you around to sample three of their favs. We stopped at Main Street Brewing (I’m a fan of their bottle graphics and the Westminster Brown), Bomber Brewing (I’m still swooning over their cozy tasting room, love of hockey and Marzen Amber Lager) and Storm Brewing (Vancouver’s longest running craft brewery, with some awesome weekly rotating beers, like the Vanilla Whisky Stout, Apple Pie Ale and Storm Drain Sour). I’ll definitely be going back to all these spots on my own east end bike and brewery tour.<\/p>\n

Vancouver Food Tour<\/strong><\/a> (Gastown Tasting Tour)\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Vancouver<\/a><\/p>\n

Vancouver Food Tour’s Gastown Tasting Tour serves up drinks and bites at four restaurants in the city’s oldest neighbourhood. Our first stop at Revel Room had us tasting a classic Bourbon Sour, as well as fish tacos, devilled eggs and chicken bites. The Salt Tasting Room, gave us three wine selections and a delicious charcuterie plate (try anything with the Guinness mustard!). Calabash Bistro, a Carribean spot, served up Dark and Stormys, plantain chips, Jamaican patties (with some of the best hot sauce I’ve tasted\u201dplease sell this Calabash!) and chicken skewers. Finally, we stopped in at the Irish Heather, where we had more charcuterie and three samples of local brews. Yum.<\/p>\n
