And, on top of being the face of the the brand&#8217;s new apparel and tech-focused Sportstyle line, will also be designing a line of sneakers and athletic wear we&#8217;ll get to see next year.<\/p>\n<p>The Weeknd made the announcement himself <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/theweeknd\/status\/781610775890759680\">via Twitter<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">excited to announce my partnership w\/ <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PUMA\">@puma<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/RunTheStreets?src=hash\">#RunTheStreets<\/a> ||<br \/>\nalso excited to release my PumaXO shoe and clothing line in 2017 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Wb6hyqYsCE\">pic.twitter.com\/Wb6hyqYsCE<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201d The Weeknd (@theweeknd) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/theweeknd\/status\/781610775890759680\">September 29, 2016<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\"><\/script>Cool!<\/p>\n<p>The campaign was shot by Mark Seliger in LA and Toronto, and as per a release, the singer&#8217;s shoes will &#8220;be a fusion of Puma&#8217;s sport-inspired designs and The Weeknd&#8217;s street-motivated aesthetics as seen on his [own] label, XO.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Also, at the same time, The Weeknd dropped the second single off his forthcoming album, <em>Starboy<\/em> (called &#8220;False Alarm&#8221;), which chases the first single the album is named after. (<em>Starboy<\/em> &#8212; the album &#8212; comes out\u00a0in November.)
